We recommend that you look at the RSPCA website which gives guides and advice to consider before choosing your pet. All our pets are now featuring on the RSPCA website's Rehoming page . In order to ensure the best match of pet and prospective owner, we will ask you to fill in a questionnaire to help us understand your lifestyle so we can advise on which pet would or would not be suitable - e.g. do you have young children etc. You can then chat to staff from the cattery, kennels or small animal unit and we can introduce you to any animals that may be a good match for you and your family. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, we have their photos and details displayed in reception for you to learn more about their character and the type of environment they are looking for. After talking to the kennel staff we will bring any suitable dogs up to meet you so they are away from their kennel environment. We require that all members of the household meet your prospective new addition to the family; if you wish to adopt one of our dogs, this includes introducing it to your own dog if you have one. If everything is OK, one of our home visitors will contact you to schedule a to ensure that your home is suitable for your new pet. And when all these boxes have been ticked, you can come to the Centre, fill-in the adoption papers and go home with your enlarged family!
