Whilst the centre awaits a new Small Animal Unit, we decided to brighten the place up with murals designed by local students from schools in the Conwy Borough. Entries were invited in two age categories from over 70 primary and secondary schools, the theme being local wildlife and small animals. The choice we very difficult, but we finally decided upon our winners:

9 - 12 years - Ted Simonds from Ysgol Y Plas Llanelian
under 8 years - we had a draw for this category and the mural will comprise of a combination of designs and text from the following 2 students from Ysgol Trefriw: Annabelle Macfarlan and Lucy Jones.

Clare Jones, our centre artist has done an excellent job replicating the designs and we will have a formal unveiling of the murals at the start of term when the students are available to attend. I’m sure you will agree they look great, a great job well done by all!
